Visit our website to learn more.Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented and motivated Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of peristaltic pumps, ensuring optimal performance.Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and operational issues with pumps on customer sites in biopharm and industrial environments.Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to pump systems, including issues with VFDs, electronics, and electrical components.Repair tasks in the service centre and on-site, managing warranty claims in accordance with company policies and guidelines.Collaborate with the service team and customers to facilitate timely and efficient repair or replacement of faulty equipment under warranty.Propose maintenance opportunities for customers to benefit from ongoing maintenance contracts, tailoring contracts to ensure longterm relationships and consistent pump performance.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safetyconscious mindset at all times, both onsite and in the service centre.Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures.Provide technical advice and support to customers, resolving queries related to pump systems and operational issues, including troubleshooting and repairs involving electrical components, VFDs, and control systems such as Profibus and RS485.Document detailed service records, reports, and documentation for all onsite visits, repairs, and maintenance activities.Provide customers with postservice reports, including maintenance recommendations, repair summaries, and technical guidance.Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and offering timely solutions.Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide service support as needed.Skills / Experience3+ years of experience servicing, repairing, and maintaining peristaltic pumps, ideally in biopharm and/or industrial environments.Experience with peristaltic pump systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.Understanding of electrical systems, electronics, and VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) control systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and service equipment.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, RS485, and other similar systems is a plus.Understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and fluid handling equipment.Commitment to safety and ability to follow established safety guidelines and best practices; understanding of safety standards and regulations related to biopharm and industrial environments.Problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise tasks, and handle multiple service requests.Willingness to travel to customer sites for onsite servicing, commissioning, and maintenance.PreferredKnowledge of Office365.Presentation skills.PLC programming and control systems.Experience working in regulated biopharmaceutical environments.Personal AttributesMotivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team.Customerorientated with a strong focus on quality service.Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.Able to adapt to varying work environments and challenges.BenefitsA competitive salary.Flexible working arrangements.A generous holiday allowance.Three days paid volunteering leave.Life assurance.Additional support and benefits through our Everyone is Included Group Inclusion Plan.Inclusion CommitmentsGenderneutral parental leave.15 days of extra paid caregiver leave.Paid time off and support for anyone experiencing pregnancy loss or domestic abuse.Menopausefriendly workplace principles.Everyone is Included at Spirax Group.
