Moneycare Financial Counsellor**Location:** Gatton Corps will be the main location with outreach to community centres in Laidley and Lowood. **Status:** Part Time 22.8 hours per week **Why this role matters**Moneycare is The Salvation Armys (Salvos) national financial counselling and financial capability program which seeks to alleviate hardship and build long term resilience. Our evidence-based methods are professional, caring and have a holistic impact on the lives of those who come to us seeking assistance.**The Role** This position provides financial counselling to individuals experiencing financial hardship or seeking to avoid financial difficulty. The role focuses on developing and implementing person-centred case plans, offering strategies to ease financial stress, strengthen financial resilience, and enhance mental health and overall wellbeing.The Financial Counsellor will work in alignment with The Salvation Army mission, policies, the Doorways service model, Moneycare procedures, and all relevant professional, regulatory and funding requirements.**Qualifications & Accreditation:** **Level 5:** Diploma of Financial Counselling and accredited membership with a recognised financial counselling association **Level 4:** Diploma of Financial Counselling and working toward accredited membership **Level 3:** Enrolled in, or willing to enrol in, the Diploma of Financial Counselling and progressing toward completion within required timelines **Additional Requirements:** Experience in a social services environment and/or strong understanding of factors contributing to financial hardship and exclusion Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Strong communication skills**What we offer** The Salvos offer eligible employee''s a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careersIf youre passionate about making a difference and ready to join a team dedicated to creating positive change, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your alignment with the requirements of the role.
