Full-time role based in the Illawarra Full-time role based in the Illawarra $150k plus salary packaging and super Extra leave to support wellness Are you an experienced leader committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed programs that create meaningful change for communities? An established DFSV specialist service is seeking a Head of Programs to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of recovery-oriented, client-centred services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, guide program strategy, drive service excellence, and ensure impactful outcomes for victims recovering from DFSV related trauma. This position is ideal for a values-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-led environment. About the Role Reporting to the CEO, you will: Lead and oversee the delivery of therapeutic, wellbeing, and client support programs. Develop evidence-based service models, protocols, and quality assurance processes. Ensure programs are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practice. Work closely with stakeholders to identify community needs and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate on impact reporting, data insights, and strategic planning. Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to Team Leaders and frontline staff. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and empowering service environment for clients and staff. What Were Looking For Qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling, mental health, or extensive relevant experience. Experience in program management, clinical service delivery, or leadership. Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed practice and managing clinical risk. Strong leadership capability with a track record of building high-performing teams. Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence across diverse communities. Experience designing, evaluating, and improving programs using data and evidence. Understanding of domestic, family, and sexual violence and the impacts of trauma.
