The Role The Crop Manager plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of allocated cropping programs. Reporting to the Agricultural Manager, this role combines crop management, applied agronomy and commercial responsibility. Key Responsibilities Deliver agronomic support across nutrition, pest, disease, irrigation and soil health. Conduct regular field monitoring and implement timely interventions. Prepare and manage crop budgets. Plan, coordinate and train staff to meet seasonal demands. Engage with growers and stakeholders locally. Ensure compliance with WHS, QA and regulatory standards. The Person We are keen to speak with candidates who have: Experience in a field officer, agronomist or similar role within intensive cropping systems. Strong understanding of vegetable production methods and agronomy. Proven experience managing budgets, labour and operational costs. Experience in cool-climate cropping (Tasmania) and vegetable production highly regarded. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. High attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance. This is a handson role where youll be responsible for crop health, yield and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the field team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
