Their skilled and multi-disciplinary teams are wholly dedicated to specifying, servicing and maintaining equipment to the highest standards, whilst optimising the end-user experience.Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Project Engineer you will possess strong technical expertise and leadership skills and will be able to support project delivery while enabling the Engineering Manager to focus on strategic initiatives. You will also:Lead engineering investigations and produce high-quality technical reports and publicationsReview and approve 2D/3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorksSupervise and mentor project engineers, overseeing drawing production and technical documentationPerform engineering calculations and analysis for critical fluid systems (e.g., high-pressure air, oxygen, hydrogen, water, waste, fuel)Manage project tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure delivery within allocated hoursSupport project managers and engineers in delivering defence-related projectsEngage with customers and suppliers to ensure project alignment and technical complianceEnsure engineering outputs meet relevant standards (AS, ISO) and AS 1100 drawing requirementsSkills and ExperienceBachelors Degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics or equivalent - must be recognised in AustraliaMinimum 7 years of engineering experience, ideally in defence or related industriesStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent attention to detail and technical accuracyFamiliar with producing engineering drawings to AS 1100 standardFamiliar with reading and interpreting design standards (AS, ISO, etc.)Preferred SkillsExperience in project management and stakeholder engagementStrong written and verbal communication skillsEligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance (desirable)Australian citizenship preferred - permanent residents of Australia will also be consideredOther requirementsN.B.
