The Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is seeking a highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership across finance, governance, information technology, and capital works, ensuring resources are managed with integrity, transparency, and purpose. About Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) serves twenty-four primary schools and five secondary colleges, including two boarding facilities. As CFO, you will play a key role in shaping the systems financial sustainability, governance, and infrastructure. Youll guide and mentor teams across schools and the system office, ensuring that stewardship, compliance, and innovation underpin every decision. Responsibilities Partner with the Executive Director and Executive Leadership Team to deliver financial, governance, technology and infrastructure strategies aligned with CEDWWs mission. Lead and mentor teams across Finance, Governance, IT and Capital Works to deliver collaborative, highperforming outcomes. Support the Executive Director in meeting their financial reporting obligations to diocesan governance bodies, including the Catholic Education Council and Diocesan Finance Council. Oversee budgeting, financial planning and reporting, ensuring transparent, responsible and sustainable management of resources across 29 schools and the system office. Provide leadership in risk management, governance, compliance and audit, maintaining integrity and accountability in all operations. Direct the development and delivery of capital works and facilities plans that create contemporary, safe and inspiring learning environments. Champion digital transformation through a robust, secure and futurefocused IT strategy. Represent CEDWW in external forums, government consultations and Catholic education networks across NSW. About you Youre a strategic, valuesdriven leader who combines commercial acumen with empathy and integrity. You bring curiosity, fairness, and courage to your work, guiding teams through change with confidence and care. Qualifications and Experience CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accreditation. At least 710 years senior finance or executive leadership experience across complex organisations. Demonstrated expertise in financial management, governance, technology, and resource stewardship. Proven ability to mentor teams, build trusted relationships, and lead with integrity. Current Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check and Drivers Licence.
