We operate as a lean, founder-led business, and we are now hiring a Head of Operations to lead and stabilise our Australian operations across warehouse, gallery, logistics, client care and internal support teams. This is a hands-on operational leadership role, not a corporate desk job. You will lead department managers, bring structure, strengthen accountability, and ensure the entire Australian operation runs smoothly and consistently. WHAT YOU WILL OWN You will lead the Warehouse Manager, Gallery Manager, Client Care Lead, Admin/Finance Support and Logistics/Dispatch Lead. Set clear expectations, KPIs and priorities Coach and develop managers Address performance issues early and decisively Hire, onboard and restructure as neededBuild capability across the team, not run their departments for them 2. OVERSEE ALL AUSTRALIAN OPERATIONS (HIGH-LEVEL) Youre not doing daily tasks you are ensuring they happen correctly. Ensure warehouse, gallery, dispatch and client care operate at high standard Identify operational gaps and ensure managers implement solutions Drive cross-department collaboration and communication Keep founders informed with clear reporting and visibility This role is people-heavy. Build a performance-driven culture Ensure managers hold their teams accountable Handle escalated people issues Establish structure, reporting lines and SOPs Remove dysfunction before it damages operations 4. OPERATIONAL PLANNING & EXECUTION Translate founder direction into operational action. Plan staffing, resourcing and workflow needs across Australia Support product launches, gallery changes and operational shifts Identify risks and implement preventative systems Improve efficiency, accuracy and communication across all teams 5. REPORTING & COMMUNICATION Weekly operational reporting to founders. Track KPIs across all departments Ensure operational clarity, visibility and alignment Support decision-making through accurate information flow WHO YOU ARE A strong operator with backbone, clarity and leadership maturity. 712 years in operations leadership. Has led managers, not just front-line teams. Experience in small-to-medium businesses. Comfortable working directly with founders. Strong people leadership with a bias for accountability. Capable of stabilising messy or underperforming environments. Excellent communicator clear, direct, unflinching. Hands-on enough to step in, senior enough to step back. Calm, structured and decisive. This is not a role for someone who needs layers of support, avoids conflict, or is seeking a corporate environment.
