Legal Counsel - Commercial In-House Role (Property Industry)Location: Macquarie Park, NSW (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH)About the RoleWere looking for a Legal Counsel to support the next phase of growth at Search Property. This is a strategic, business-facing role where youll provide legal advice across commercial contracts, compliance, governance, and operational matters, all within a fast-paced property investment environment.Youll work closely with our executive and operational teams to manage legal risk, support commercial decision-making, and help shape the legal foundations of a fast-scaling, property-focused business. Youll also liaise with property conveyancers and solicitors to ensure smooth transaction processes, and play a key role in streamlining and creating efficiencies in conveyancing.What Youll Be DoingDraft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (supplier, referral, service, partnership)Liaise with property conveyancers and solicitors to support property transactionsAssist in reviewing and improving internal conveyancing processes to create efficienciesAdvise on commercial strategy, corporate structure, and business operationsOversee compliance with licensing, privacy, consumer law, and other regulatory requirementsSupport leaders with legal input into business decisions and strategic initiativesIdentify and manage legal risks across departmentsAssist with escalated commercial issues or disputesWork with counsel on complex or litigious mattersSupport internal governance, policies, and compliance processesAbout You3+ years practising experience, ideally in a general commercial or in property law/conveyancingConfident negotiating commercial contracts and advising internal stakeholdersSound knowledge of corporate, consumer, and privacy lawStrong commercial judgement and ability to balance legal risk with business needsExperience in a regulated or client-facing environment preferredExposure to the property sector or related industries (real estate, financial services, professional services) is a bonusExperience working with conveyancers or on property transactions will be highly regardedWhy Youll Love It HereWere one of Australias fastest-growing companies, helping clients build real wealth through property, and were only getting started.
