5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsDirect message the job poster from Montgomery AdvisoryWe represent an Australian owned and operated property development and construction company which specialises in commercial, retail and residential developments.They are now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support their friendly and collegial in-house legal team.Legal TeamThe Legal team are responsible for providing legal and strategic support in respect of projects in addition to supporting the wider business.Given the company is an integrated property development and construction company, the in-house lawyers will provide legal advice on the complete lifecycle of the projects, including the scouting, acquiring, development, selling and leasing.Position DescriptionYour position will see you working closely with the General Counsel and being supported by the Legal Counsel, yet also gaining considerable exposure to the wider business.Duties and responsibilities of the position will include:Provide legal advice and support on a range of property-related matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, finance, construction and development projects.Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of property and commercial contracts and agreements.Conduct due diligence on property transactions to identify legal risks and provide recommendations.Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the property and construction industries.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.Assist in the management and resolution of legal disputes and litigation related to property, construction and commercial issues.On offer is a competitive salary, great work and a supportive culture in a company that cares for both their staff and the communities in which they develop.RequirementsTo be successful in this role you will likely have between 5 to 8 years'' post admission experience in property law, and ideally some exposure to construction law, from either private practice or in house.ContactFor further information, please contact Alex Rees on +61 411 554 795 or [email protected] take your application one step further, register your details via the Register Now button on our websiteto be added directly onto our database.
