Were seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Sydney to join the national HV Design & Power Systems team and take on the role of technical lead for major national projects, some valued at up to $100 million. Key Responsibilities: Provide HV systems modelling, grid connection studies, protection studies, earthing designs, and technical advice/designs for private HV networks, solar farms, and battery energy storage systems. Produce technical documentation, specifications, and datasheets for electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection & control systems). Manage relationships with AEMO, DNSPs, and TNSPs. What youll bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., BSc Engineering). CPEng or eligibility to obtain. 10+ years experience in HV design. Proven capability with power system modelling tools such as ETAP, PowerFactory, or PSCAD. Experience in earthing design and simulation software (e.g., CDEGS).
