Banking & Finance Manager Sydney Permanent / Full TimeUtilise your prior Blockchain experienceUnique opportunity with fantastic leadershipStart-up / greenfields environment; put your stamp on things!Purpose of the RoleThe Head of Technology & Cybersecurity is responsible for establishing and maintaining the technology and cybersecurity framework to ensure the organisation''s systems meet international best practice.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement Technology and Cybersecurity Strategy in line with FATF and APG expectations.Advise the CEO and Board on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory technology trends.Represent the organisation in technical working groups with the likes of AUSTRAC and regional regulators.Define and maintain minimum technology standards for VASP licensing and supervision (custody, encryption, data protection, and operational resilience).Supervise vendor contracts for cloud hosting (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure AU) and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 / SOC 2 standards.Design and manage Information Security Management System (ISMS) and policies (aligned to ISO 27001).Coordinate with the Compliance & Supervision Division on technical matters, including breaches of custody or cybersecurity obligations.Manage, mentor, and develop the CISO and Blockchain Forensics Analyst.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.Professional certification : CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.Minimum 7+ years experience in information security or technology governance, preferably within financial regulation, payments, or fintech.Proven record of leading cybersecurity strategy, managing incidents, and implementing secure systems in a regulated environment.Experience managing external vendors, cloud environments, and security audits.Knowledge of virtual asset and blockchain technologies, including custody models and smart contract risks.Familiarity with FATF Recommendation 15, APG Mutual Evaluation requirements, and related AML / CFT standards.Experience working with or in coordination with financial intelligence units (FIUs), law enforcement, or central banks.Full Australian working rights & fluent English skillsPlease click on Apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
