The Opportunity We are seeking a visionary Deputy ViceChancellor (Research) to lead a highimpact research agenda aligned with our Mission and Strategic Plan. As a researchintensive institution we are committed to delivering work that addresses Tasmanias unique challenges, supports national development and contributes to global solutions. The DVCR will drive a strategic sustainable research ecosystem ensuring alignment with our five Tasmanian Transitions and fostering longterm programmatic research. This role provides critical governance, upholds research integrity and navigates emerging challenges such as AI. A key leader in developing the next generation of researchers the DVCR will also shape HDR programs that serve both Tasmania and the nation. With a strong focus on collaboration the DVCR will build and sustain strategic partnerships across sectors. We are seeking a proven thought leader with deep expertise in research governance and a passion for research that makes a difference.
