Centre Manager - headspace (The Link Youth Health Service) Join an organisation making a real difference in the lives of young Tasmanians. As Centre Manager at headspace Hobart, youll lead a passionate multidisciplinary team and oversee the delivery of services across mental health, sexual health, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and a specialised work and study program. The Position The headspace Hobart Centre Manager is a senior leadership role within The Link Youth Health Service, responsible for strategic oversight, operational management, and the ongoing growth and success of the headspace Hobart program. Reporting to the CEO and as part of The Links Senior Management Team, you will: Lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver highquality, youthfocused services Promote youth and family participation in all aspects of the program Represent the organisation at community and sector events Oversee daytoday operations, staff development, recruitment, and compliance with accreditation standards, policies, and safety protocols Manage budgets, key performance indicators, and contribute to strategic planning Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and highperforming workplace culture About You You are an experienced and motivated leader with: A degreelevel qualification in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications in business or health services management are highly desirable) Minimum five years experience in a mid/senior leadership role within a community or health setting, including managing complex programmes Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, including recruitment, induction, onboarding, coaching, and performance management Strong experience in management processes, including quality improvement, data collection and analysis, policy development, and risk management Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships across internal and external stakeholders A thorough understanding of the Australian youth demographic, their challenges, and the specific needs of priority and diverse populations Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and experience contributing to strategic planning and programme development The Organisation The Link Youth Health Service is a wellestablished, youthspecialist organisation with more than 30 years of experience supporting young Tasmanians aged 1225 to live healthy, empowered lives. The organisation operates headspace Hobart, delivering integrated services across mental health, sexual health, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and work and study support via a multidisciplinary team based on Liverpool Street. In addition to headspace, The Link offers a range of holistic health and wellbeing services, including an Open Access dropin centre, a drug and alcohol programme, a needle and syringe exchange, and coordination of a Youth Health Fund supported by a statewide network of youth health workers.
