We are open to hearing from Podiatrists seeking full time or part time work (3 days per week), across the South West Country region (Bunbury & Busselton). Working days are between Monday to Friday and from 8am - 4.06pm. I have worked in a variety of Podiatry settings over the last 14years including Private Practice, Residential Aged Care and Public Hospital. I initially joined Silver Chain part-time and eventually dropped all other commitments to join SC full-time. Andre, Podiatrist at Silverchain Key Responsibilities Undertake comprehensive, holistic assessments of clients at admission and as necessary during the period of care to determine an appropriate care plan to achieve identified outcomes. Deliver client care in accordance with current professional and ethical standards, evidence based practice, relevant legislation and common law. Monitor and review admissions and discharges to ensure eligibility criteria is met and caseloads are managed in a timely and efficient manner. Formulate and maintain care plans and required documentation in consultation with the client, carer and/or family that addresses the needs of the client throughout the service delivery period and includes interventions to optimise independence. Monitor and coordinate resources (equipment, direct care staff, etc) and provide support and education to ensure service delivery is in accordance with the plan of care. Evaluate client responses to interventions to ensure appropriate service delivery according to changing client needs. Collaborate with, and seek advice and assistance from other relevant Health Care Professionals as needed. Provide specialist education, support and demonstrations to internal and external parties to ensure quality service delivery. Complete relevant documentation to ensure compliance with program requirements. Assist the organisation by taking responsibility for the identification, management and/or elimination of hazards and unsafe work practices. About you Relevant qualification in allied health profession with demonstrated experience in field of expertise. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use appropriate treatment and assessment methods. Well developed communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers, families and direct care employees. Demonstrated ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees, clients and their carers. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously together with a team focus to participate and contribute to business unit and organisational objectives. Problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills to determine and implement appropriate care plans. Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and calendar management software to prepare correspondence and effective documentation. A demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to coordinate and schedule resources whilst responding to client needs. A demonstrated understanding of service provision, allocation and compliance with contractual obligations. Previous experience in a community or residential environment within the aged care industry.
