Loved by locals and known across Melbourne for warm hospitality, high end product and service and a thriving functions offering, we''re looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the next chapter of our venue.This is a senior, predominantly office based leadership role ideal for someone who''s highly organised, systems-driven, commercially sharp and confident leading from both the office and the floor.Youll also play a key leadership role during an upcoming venue renovation, ensuring operations stay strong, communication is clear, and the project elevates the guest and staff experience. As Goldys grows, youll help guide the expansion into additional venues, shaping systems and culture that scale.If you love implementing structure, people, premium service and running a tight, well organised ship, we want to meet you.The RoleAs our GM, you''ll oversee the full operational, financial and administrative performance of the venue. You''ll work closely with the Director and management team to run efficient systems, support department heads, and deliver an exceptional guest experience across a bustling pub and high volume functions operation.Youll balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day organisation including leading the team through a significant renovation and preparing the business for future multi-venue growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, hire and support a high performing team across all departmentsOversee rosters, payroll, reporting, compliance and admin systemsManage POS, inventory, rostering and operational software platformsDeliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting and budgetingDrive high standards of service, presentation and guest experienceMaintain strong processes, SOPs and operational systemsSupport busy events and functions with clear planning and communicationEnsure compliance with RSA, OH&S, licensing and venue policiesBe a visible leader during key services, events and peak periodsLead the operational side of a planned renovation, ensuring continuity, communication and smooth transitionSupport the Director in venue expansion planning, helping build scalable systems and a strong multi-venue cultureAbout YouYoull thrive in this role if you are:An experienced GM or senior hospitality leader from a high volume venueMinimum 3-4 years of General Manager experience in hospitality is requiredHighly organised with exceptional administrative and time management skillsStrong with technology and operational systems (POS, inventory, rostering, reporting tools)Confident analysing data and managing budgets, labour and financial performanceA calm, structured and solutions focused communicatorEqually comfortable in the office and on the floor during busy periodsA positive culture builder who motivates, mentors and supports the teamCommitted to compliance, safety and operational excellenceAustralian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this positionWhy Youll Love GoldysAward-winning pub with an excellent reputationA well-established, warm and engaged team cultureA venue that blends premium standards with genuine hospitalityOpportunities for real impact including renovation leadership and future venue expansionOpportunity to take ownership of the whole operation and make it your own #J-18808-Ljbffr
