As General Manager, you will be the CEOs primary strategic and operational partner turning vision into execution, chaos into clarity, and growth into sustainable, compliant, profitable operations. You will: Lead and develop the leadership team and head office function. Own daytoday operations and assist the CEO so he can focus on strategy, growth and partnerships. If youve ever wanted to build a national group from a strong base with a valuesdriven CEO and an already successful operation this is that role. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Growth Translate the CEOs longterm vision into clear 3year, 12month and quarterly plans with priorities, KPIs and owners. Identify and evaluate markets, services, acquisitions and partnerships aligned with ELCs mission. Build and maintain a growth pipeline (geographies, service types, key partners) with risk/return clearly assessed. Lead selected growth projects (e.g. new regions, service lines, integration of acquisitions) from idea to implementation. 2. Ensure rosters, staffing levels and service models align with participant needs, funding and profitability. Establish a consistent operating rhythm: daily huddles, weekly ops meetings, monthly performance reviews. Champion the use of technology and AI to reduce friction, improve documentation, and support decisionmaking. 3. Financial & Commercial Management Work with Finance to set and manage budgets, forecasts and servicelevel P&Ls. Monitor and act on key metrics and support CEO with business sustainability. 4. Ensure incident management, complaints handling and risk management are robust, timely and welldocumented. Lead preparation for audits and accreditation, driving continuous improvement not just audit readiness. Stay ahead of sector reforms, funding changes and regulatory shifts, proactively adjusting strategy and operations. 6. Support (and when appropriate, stand in for) the CEO at highlevel meetings, negotiations and presentations. Represent ELC at industry forums, working groups and strategic collaborations. About You Skills & Experience Essential Senior leadership experience (GM / COO / Regional Director or similar) in NDIS, health, aged care or related human services. Strong commercial and financial acumen highly competent with P&Ls, budgets, KPIs, pricing and investment decisions. Experience leading operations, people and change through growth, restructuring or complexity. Demonstrated ability to build, manage and develop highperforming leadership teams. Desirable Experience with mergers & acquisitions, integrations or turnarounds. Experience implementing technology/AI solutions in operations or clinical/administrative workflows. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health management, or similar. Personal Attributes & NonNegotiables Strategic and handson can think in 35 year horizons and still roll up sleeves to solve problems on the ground. Valuesdriven genuinely cares about people and consistently lives ELCs values (especially when decisions are hard). Datainformed, humancentred uses numbers, dashboards and evidence to guide decisions without losing sight of people. Accountable and transparent owns outcomes, communicates clearly, and doesnt hide from hard truths or tough conversations. Growth mindset sees challenges as opportunities, learns fast, adjusts and helps others grow. Low ego, high standards able to challenge and be challenged, focused on what is best for participants, staff and the organisation. If you are looking for a comfortable maintenance role, this is not the right fit. If you are excited by building, improving and scaling it might be. Whats On Offer An opportunity to shape and scale a valuesdriven disability & health group with a strong foundation. Significant autonomy to help design and lead the operating model, leadership structure and growth roadmap. Competitive executive remuneration package (including performancebased incentives to be discussed with shortlisted candidates).
