Position Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts Hobart TAS Applications are invited to fill a nonexecutive Director vacancy on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Board. This is a parttime position, with a term of up to five years. Key Qualifications Substantial experience or knowledge in at least one of the following fields: the media industry broadcasting and digital media digital technologies in any sector other than the media sector business or financial management educational content creation corporate governance, including managing large and/or complex operations in the private, public or notforprofit sectors cultural industry and/or cultural policy, including its administration Demonstrated highlevel leadership and vision, with the ability to articulate a clear direction for an organisation Highlevel judgement The highest standards of professional and personal integrity An understanding of, or the ability to credibly represent, the communication needs of Australias diverse society An understanding of the media environment, in particular the ABC, the Charter and its place within the Australian community A commitment to high standards of governance, almost certainly gained from extensive experience serving on boards The selection criteria for this position is set out in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (Nonexecutive DirectorSelection Criteria) Determination 2024.
