What you''ll do : Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex local and global employee matters including payroll and wage compliance due diligence and broader employment law reviews. Work on complex wage underpayment cases which includes coordinating remediation efforts and collaborating with teams specializing in data assurance payroll advisory and employment taxes. This work also requires communication with the Fair Work Ombudsman. Provide timely practical legal advice on general employment law issues including : unfair dismissal breach of contract general protections and adverse action claims redundancy termination and deeds of release employment contracts executive agreements and contractor agreements modern awards enterprise agreements and bargaining workplace discrimination bullying and harassment matters workplace investigations and disciplinary processes Draft ing and review ing workplace policies employment contracts contractor agreements and employee handbooks. Conduct ing investigations and prepar ing reports. What were looking for : You are admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales with 3 - 6 years PQE in private practice or similar environment and are knowledgeable and skilled in employment and industrial law. The ideal candidate willhave experience in award interpretation payroll compliance projects communications with the Fair Work Ombudsman and defending underpayment claims. Demonstrate a commercial mind with the ability to translate legal risk into practical business advice.
