With strong foundations already in place, we are now seeking a Head of Organisational Development to lead the next phase of maturity embedding cultural aspirations, elevating talent and shaping the organisational capabilities to most effectively enable our strategy.The Head of Organisational Development will be responsible for an Organisational Development strategy that enables the Ampol Group to deliver strong performance today whilst also anticipating the OD transformation requirements for exceptional performance into the future. The OD strategy is primarily focused on the areas of talent, capability and culture with adaptability to be successfully implemented across a diverse value chain.The position works closely with the General Manager of P&C Centres of Expertise, the Chief People Officer and broader P&C Leadership Team. The Head of Organisational Development will lead a distributed team, requiring both strategic thought leadership and hands-on delivery across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities:Cultural Leadership Drive the embedment of our cultural aspiration, and lead the evolution of employee listening strategies and cultural health dashboards. Bring to life new values and ensure they are reflected in our processes, rituals, and ways of working.Talent Strategy Mature the adoption of our enterprise talent strategy, ensuring it delivers real value and outcomes across the Group. Provide strong ownership and thought leadership on succession, and talent effectiveness.Capability Development Shape the approach to strengthening the embedment of leadership capability for the Group. Steward the approach for building the identified enabling capabilities across the Group to most effectively enable the delivery of Ampols strategic ambitions.Organisational Effectiveness Integrate OD thinking and practices into the employee lifecycle, in close collaboration with the Head of Employee Experience, Head of Representation, Equity and Inclusion, and Head of Reward ensuring connection between culture, capability, and reward.Enterprise Influence Work with our Executive team and senior leaders, stewarding a stronger performance culture and embedding agility, psychological safety, and high-quality conversations across leadership forums.QualificationsWhat we''re looking for:Demonstrated expertise in organisational development strategy, with the ability to apply systems thinking and OD principles in a complex and/or diverse environment.Experience embedding cultural aspirations including values into processes, rituals, and leadership practice.Strong ownership of talent and succession strategies, with an ability to challenge, mature, and drive tangible outcomes.The ability to work effectively across multiple contexts (e.g. industry, business cycle, geography) and build strategies that can be adapted into tangible plans.Exceptional influencing and storytelling capabilityequally comfortable writing board papers, shaping leadership discussions, and engaging employees.Depth in the psychology of people at work, having shaped OD models that endure and deliver impact.Leadership capability to guide a high-performing OD team.Additional InformationOur total remuneration is competitive.
