Join Yarra Trams as Program Director and help transform the worlds largest tram network. About this opportunity Yarra Trams is seeking a Program Director to lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects that will enhance safety, functionality, accessibility, and passenger experience across Melbournes tram network. The role reports directly to the Chief Infrastructure and Projects Officer and involves: Providing visible leadership in the delivery of a portfolio of projects, representing Yarra Trams at industry engagements and building team capability. Driving collaboration and direct engagement across Yarra Trams business units, the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), and other stakeholders. Delivering within the Yarra Trams Safety Management System, Project Management Framework, and the Franchise Agreement. About you Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management. Certified Project Director via AIPM or equivalent professional certification (desirable). Proven experience and leadership of large, complex projects from initiation to delivery and handover. Detailed knowledge of OHS&E legislative requirements, the Rail Safety Act and associated Regulations. Understanding of business development principles and the interplay between contracts, operations, and commercial outcomes. Experience in senior-level contractual negotiations and commercial dealings with government. Expertise in managing risk and quality, including Engineering Assurance and Project Completions. High-level experience and knowledge of program and project management processes, methodologies, standards, and templates. Why Yarra Trams?
