ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer reporting to Head of Project Development. The role will be on a Maximum Term Contract for 12 months. The purpose of the role is to ensure effective planning, execution, and completion of capital projects within the set timelines and budgets. The position will act as Project Manager on site during absences and have a willingness to attend site. The position is required for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the pond expansion projects and other site civil projects. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will: Prepare and review contractor and vendor programs to ensure alignment with project objectives. Regularly update and manage all project programs, schedules, and systems to maintain transparency and accuracy. Create and execute project timelines that encompass resource distribution, scheduling, and cost. Identify important dates, milestones, interdependencies, work breakdown structures, and manage the critical path of the schedule. Prepare project scope of works. Review scope of work packages supplied by vendors. Develop and implement alternative engineering approaches to enhance project efficiency and deliverables. Utilise advanced engineering principles to address complex problems and propose robust solutions. Collaborate with the Technical Services team to ensure technical drawings and specifications meet project requirements and comply with industry standards. Provide on-site engineering support to ensure projects meet technical, safety, and quality benchmarks. Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering tasks, from conception to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Actively engage and collaborate with colleagues and support them in achieving the Companys objectives. Liaise with the project managers and superintendents to ensure resources are managed and controlled to achieve business targets. Analyse and decipher project information and prepare schedules and programs for optimum project delivery. ABOUT YOU You will be focused on promoting safety awareness and have the ability to communicate with a confident and compelling message to a wide range of stakeholders. To be successful you will have: Minimum 15+ years in civil construction or mining operations, or similar role. Postgraduate in project management, mechanical, civil or mining engineering or similar field. Completion of minimum requirements to satisfy Section 26 statutory requirements (highly regarded). Extensive experience with planning, scheduling, and cost control, particularly in mining or remote environments. Proven ability to generate, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial discipline and accountability. Demonstrated success in delivering diverse capital projects within the resources industry, meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations. Experience using Pronto (advanced knowledge preferable).
