About the Role On behalf of Austral Resources (ASX: AR1), we are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the next chapter of growth for this established Australian copper producer. Headquartered in Brisbanes CBD, Austral Resources owns and operates a portfolio of copper assets and processing facilities across Northwest Queensland with a replacement value in excess of $1bn. Following a successful recapitalisation and reinstatement to ASX, the business is financially stabilised and now entering a new phase focused on production expansion, operational optimisation, and value creation for shareholders. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the business from project execution and stakeholder engagement to ASX compliance and investor relations. This is a handson role requiring a commercially astute leader with the ability to operate confidently across technical, financial, and governance fronts. Key Responsibilities Lead Australs corporate strategy, operational performance, and market engagement. Maintain high standards of governance, transparency, and ASX compliance. Manage investor and shareholder relations, providing confidence and clear communication to the market. Build and lead a capable, motivated management team focused on safety, performance, and accountability. Identify growth opportunities through optimisation, exploration, and strategic partnerships. About You Proven track record in executive leadership within an ASX-listed or publicly accountable business. Strong commercial, operational, and financial acumen with an understanding of project delivery. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the presence to engage confidently with investors, regulators, and the Board. Based in or willing to relocate to Brisbane this is not a FIFO role. Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Mining, Engineering, Commerce, or similar).
