EL2 Technology Architect Australian Department of Home Affairs Executive Level 2 Salary: $136,260.00 to $177,318.00 plus 15.4% super (parttime prorata). About the role We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and determined technology architecture professional with a strong record for infrastructure design outcomes to support the Departments core technology and security foundations. Duties and responsibilities Define, develop and lead vision, strategy, target state, roadmap and decision support for one or more infrastructure capabilities (facilities, storage, compute, network, enabling platforms). Provide highquality advice to senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning ensuring alignment with best practices, cost optimisation and business goals. Engage with subjectmatter experts to support organisational outcomes and produce appropriate architectural artifacts. Drive innovation and extend technology architecture frameworks and governance processes. Apply advanced specialist knowledge to deliver design assurance, integration fitforpurpose, and ensure adherence to architectural strategy, principles and practices. Qualifications and experience Subjectmatter expertise in at least one core IT infrastructure domain and ability to analyse emerging trends, assess impacts and opportunities, develop strategy, standards, and guidelines. Proven ability to provide highquality advice to senior executives, shaping strategic thinking, developing target state and roadmaps, translating business and technical requirements into practical reference architecture, design, and operating models. Experience delivering architecture design and governance services for technology deployment and use. Proactive development and improvement of architecture process and frameworks, applying best practices and collaborating within and outside immediate work area. Deep technical experience and knowledge to collaborate with stakeholders, communicate conflicting ideas, and sustain robust conversations to contest design decisions. Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or field; industryrecognised certifications are desirable. Demonstrated ability and extensive experience with infrastructure architecture across a wide range of technology domains (datacentres, computer hardware, infrastructure platforms, networking systems, storage, surveillance and communication systems, enabling platforms) within an enterprise ICT environment. Knowledge in cloud technology and integration architecture is desirable. Demonstrated ability to develop architectural frameworks, governance processes, and understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies. Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement across ICT and business stakeholders, providing quality advice and decision support to senior executives. Eligibility and Security Clearance Applicants must be Australian citizens. Successful candidate will need to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance. ABF workers must also obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC). Home Affairs workers must also obtain an Onboarding Check. In certain circumstances, an ESC may be required in addition to or in lieu of an Onboarding Check.
