Our mission is to delight ResMed''s developer community with an opinionated, yet empathetic developer experience that avoids surprise, is a joy to use, and abstracts the complexities of modern development to accelerate the pace of ResMeds next generation Healthcare Informatics platform.ResponsibilitiesExhibit an engineering first mentality with a deep empathy for the challenges of modern software developmentParticipate in our inner sourcing/open sourcing strategy and help drive ResMeds developer community in that directionParticipate in full-lifecycle product development to take the product from inception to happy customersBe comfortable presenting your ideas to all levels of management including technical and non-technical audiencesExhibit a cloud native mindset and support our architecture towards itDrive and lead the development of application components and/or servicesBring thought leadership to all facets of our development environment (architecture, process, tools, technologies) and help the company set technical directionParticipate in the design and creation of scalable softwareWrite clean, functional code on the front- and back-endCollaborate across the team to drive consensus and understandingQualifications and ExperienceBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience7+ years of full stack software development experience5+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, etc.2+ years of experience working on web front ends with ReactJS, HTML, and CSSExperience with API Design and specification with an API Design first approach to developmentExperience delivering large and small codebases across multiple languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, etc.Experience with SQL and databases in generalExperience using AI to solve business and operational problemsExperience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub CopilotExperience with secure coding practices such as the OWASP Top 10Strongly held test practices using automated testing toolsExperience working in an Agile SCRUM environmentRecord of delivering documentation alongside code using frameworks such as MarkdownDeep knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or BitbucketDeep experience in rethinking/reimagining existing product/platform architectures as they migrate to the cloud.
