The Claims Treatment Specialist Pharmacy role will see you utilise your expertise as a community pharmacist to advise on medication, communicate with injured workers and doctors, and collaborate with prescribers to ensure safe and appropriate treatment, especially concerning highrisk medications. This role sits within EMLs Nominal Insurer (NI) portfolio, providing expert advice, optimisation of medication plans, support recovery in line with regulatory requirements, and education of stakeholders and operational team members on medicationrelated issues. Given the evolving nature of this position, it requires someone who is flexible, proactive and committed to refining processes for continuous improvement. This is a fulltime, 10month contract position based in the Sydney or Newcastle office, with workfromhome flexibility (up to 3 days per week) considered from month three, subject to performance and approval. Your Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to optimise medication and treatment management. Assess highrisk medication use and provide clinical opinions on treatment strategies. Liaise with treatment providers to negotiate medication types, dosages and utilisation. Educate injured workers, employers and stakeholders on medication use and risks. Identify the need for and refer to external services such as Pharmacy Reviews or Independent Medical Examinations. Provide training and support to operational team members on medication management best practices. About You A bachelors degree in Pharmacy is essential for this role. Current registration in the professional field. Demonstrated experience in clinical practice. Wellestablished knowledge of disability and injury management best practice. An understanding and experience in the personal injury industry, ideally with knowledge of workers compensation legislation, would be highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
