Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking an experienced and influential National Head of Safety to lead our organisations safety strategy, culture, and performance across all sites nationally. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the health and safety, of our people, while driving continuous improvement in safety systems and compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, champion a strong safety culture, and partner closely with operational leaders to deliver safe, sustainable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee the organisations national safety strategy, frameworks, and policies. Lead and mentor a safety team across multiple sites and states. Monitor organisational compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements. Drive proactive risk identification, hazard management, and incident prevention initiatives. Lead the response and investigation process for critical incidents and ensure lessons learned are embedded. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, and senior leaders. Champion a strong, positive safety culture through engagement, communication, and leadership visibility. Oversee the development and delivery of safety training, audits, and continuous improvement programs. Prepare and present safety performance reports. Support our facility leaders to execute our safety strategy. About You Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior safety leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing. Strong knowledge of national WHS legislation, standards, risk management, and safety systems. Proven ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels, including executive and frontline. Demonstrated experience leading and developing multi-site safety teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance compliance, operational needs, and long-term organisational goals. Skilled in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and risk mitigation strategies. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capability.
