Overview Due to an increasing project pipeline, our Renewables, Generation & Advisory team in Brisbane have created an opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer with experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of energy professionals and be instrumental in delivering landmark projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. Were flexible on location, with the role open to candidates based in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, or Brisbane. Responsibilities Actively participate in and contribute to the winning, management, and delivery of moderate to large-scale projects whilst enhancing client and working relationships. Inspire and support the development and training of leading-edge technical skills and apply them in ways that add value to AECOM and its clients. Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for Battery Energy Storage Systems and related areas of expertise. Mentor junior engineers to enhance AECOMs reputation in the Energy Market. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification Ideally, 12+ years of experience for a consultant, OEM or developer with strong technical knowledge of renewable energy and BESS projects Experience in delivering Power Generation designs and major energy projects In-depth knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines Outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority Additional Information Flexible work arrangements, including alternative start/finish times, part-time, job-sharing and hybrid work options Up to 22 weeks parental leave, 2 weeks paid partner leave and up to 12 weeks paid alternative primary carer leave Annual professional membership cover Corporate health insurance discount, free annual flu vaccinations and skin checks Ready to push the limits of whats possible?
