The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for driving commercial strategy, business diversification, and longterm growth. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will identify initiatives that optimise the organisations existing operations and build revenue streams through suitable strategic additions. This role will also oversee the finance team, key contract negotiations, our current property portfolio, insurance portfolio management, and IT strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Commercial Leadership Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions aligned with strategic growth objectives. Lead diversification initiatives across existing business units and into new markets or sectors. Develop and implement commercial strategies that enhance revenue streams and longterm sustainability. Property & Business Acquisition Play a lead role in our master planning for our existing property holdings ensuring we fully explore their potential. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure due diligence, financial viability, and strategic alignment. Manage postacquisition integration and performance tracking. Contract & Insurance Management Oversee and support all major contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance. Ensure contracts are commercially sound and aligned with organisational goals. Maintain a centralised contract management system and reporting framework. Manage the organisations insurance portfolio, including risk assessment, policy renewals, and claims management. Liaise with brokers and insurers to ensure optimal coverage and cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. IT Strategy & Innovation Oversee the organisations IT strategy, infrastructure, and vendor relationships. Ensure technology investments support business growth, efficiency, and security. Collaborate with IT leaders to drive innovation and digital transformation. Financial & Payroll Leadership Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration across all financial functions, including payroll. Support our Executive and Departmental Managers with accurate reporting and analysis to assist in decision making and planning. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll and superannuation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Work closely with the finance team to align commercial initiatives with financial planning and reporting. Develop and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation decisions. Monitor commercial performance metrics and report on outcomes. KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience in senior finance or commercial leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality or licensed community club industry. Strong background in business development, acquisitions, and strategic planning. Expertise in contract negotiation, insurance management, and IT oversight. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strong financial acumen and experience leading finance teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
