Head of Sport - Aquatics, Pymble Ladies College Join to apply for the Head of Sport - Aquatics, Pymble Ladies College role at Sportspeople Recruitment Position Overview The Head of Sport - Aquatics provides collaborative leadership and strategic oversight of the Colleges Aquatic programs Swimming, Diving and Water Polo. This role ensures excellence in staff management, program operations, coaching, athlete wellbeing, and the overall student experience within all aquatic disciplines. In addition, the role oversees the management and daily operations of the Aquatic Centre, including delivery, quality assurance and financial sustainability of the Colleges Learn to Swim program. This includes coordination of staff, compliance, safety standards, and alignment with College policies and strategic objectives. Working as one of three Heads of Sport within a collaborative leadership model, this role shares responsibility for the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of all College sport programmes. Together, the three Heads of Sport lead Head Coaches, Sports Coordinators, and specialist staff to deliver inclusive, highperformance, and futurefocused opportunities for every student. The Head of Sport - Aquatics plays a pivotal role in advancing Pymbles vision as Australias leading school for girls in sport. This includes fostering a culture of participation, performance, and professionalism; ensuring that all aquatic programs reflect the Colleges strategic priorities, the FTEM athlete development framework, and the Colleges Olympic Pathway vision towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond. Responsibilities Strategically lead the Colleges swimming, diving and water polo programs Oversee the Stateoftheart Aquatic Centre and Learn to Swim program Foster a culture of participation, performance, and professionalism Ensure excellence in staff management, coaching, athlete wellbeing and student experience across all aquatic disciplines Manage daily operations, safety standards and quality assurance of the Aquatic Centre Coordinate financial sustainability of the Learn to Swim program, including budgeting and resource allocation Collaborate with other Heads of Sport to plan, coordinate and continuously improve all College sport programmes Qualifications Highlevel swimming or aquatics coaching experience, preferably within a school environment. Strong expertise in coordinating a range of sporting programmes. Proven team leadership, supervision and staff development capabilities. Excellent management, communication and timemanagement skills. Empathetic and decisive leadership with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, sporting associations, contractors and service providers. Practical experience within a commercial Learn to Swim environment, including operations and budget management.
