About the role As an IT Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for setting the strategic technical direction and leading the architectural design and implementation of complex, enterpriselevel software systems. Youll ensure that all technical architectures across applications, platforms, and systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with overarching business and IT strategies. Combining deep handson expertise with visionary leadership, youll drive successful project delivery while safeguarding longterm architectural integrity. A key focus will be maintaining alignment between technology and business objectives, striking the right balance between immediate project demands and the broader system vision. Role Responsibilities Lead the design of system architecture that meets current and future business requirements, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance. Develop and maintain a multiyear technical roadmap that aligns with organizational goals, incorporating emerging technologies and innovation. Ensure smooth integration of diverse technologies and applications across the enterprise ecosystem. Oversee the design and implementation of software solutions, ensuring architectural consistency and adherence to best practices across all project phases. Lead the architecture and design of distributed systems, including microservices, RESTful APIs, eventdriven architectures, and serviceoriented architecture (SOA) where appropriate. Identify potential technical risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation to guide both current and future development efforts. Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, acting as a point of escalation for complex technical issues. About You Bachelor''s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Master''s degree preferred). 6+ years of experience in IT architecture or a related field, with at least 4 years in a solutions architecture role. Experienced with ERP systems, CRM platforms, Retail Point of Sales systems and data management technologies (e.g., big data, data lakes). Proven experience in leading largescale IT projects or programs of work, with a deep understanding of enterpriselevel technology. Experience in retail, healthcare, finance, ecommerce, or technology is preferred. Expertise in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, API management, and DevOps practices. Proficiency in security architecture principles, ensuring systems comply with cybersecurity best practices. Highly skilled in specialisation related to the position and type of assigned work. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into business capabilities and technology solutions.
