Data Architect Location: Melbourne, Australia (office required; remote work outside of this jurisdiction is not permissible). Salary range commensurate with experience and qualifications. What Youll Do Architect and implement enterpriselevel data solutions that align with business goals and compliance requirements. Design and optimize data models, storage solutions, and integration pipelines across various platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.). Partner directly with clients to develop scalable data platforms, data governance frameworks, and analytics strategies. Create and oversee ETL/ELT processes and advise on best practices for data quality, security, and accessibility. Serve as a strategic liaison between business and IT to bridge gaps and ensure alignment. Manage project timelines, expectations, and deliverables with clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement. What Youll Need 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field. High proficiency in SQL and strong data modeling skills. Experience in data governance, compliance standards, and enterprise data strategy. Excellent communication skillswritten, verbal, and interpersonal. Ability to thrive in clientfacing environments and lead crossfunctional teams. Adaptability and problemsolving mindset in fastpaced and ambiguous situations. Proven experience with data lakehouse architecture including the storage and processing of semistructured and unstructured file types. Proven support for data science initiatives. Understanding of pipeline and cost monitoring and optimisation. Comfortable leading business engagements to source requirements or refine data models. Experience with Azure & AWS CSP''s preferable. Preferred Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with modern data warehouses and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks). ETL tool experience (e.g., dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Fivetran). Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their role in data platforms.
