Staff Specialist - Radiation Oncologist *RELOCATE TO TASMANIA* Radiation Oncologist 12 month Fixed Term Full Time position Join Our Expanding Radiation Oncology Service in Tasmania About the Northern Cancer Service The Northern Cancer Service provides comprehensive and integrated cancer care, offering stateoftheart medical oncology, radiation oncology, and haematology services to a population of approximately 250,000 people across Northern Tasmania. The service operates radiation therapy sites in both Launceston and Burnie. The W.P. Holman Clinic Launceston has the capacity to operate up to three linear accelerators. The W.P. Holman Clinic in Launceston has five Radiation Oncologists and one fully accredited advanced trainee position. A newly qualified Radiation Oncologist (IMG) has recently joined the team for at least the next two years. Advanced Techniques & Specialised Services: Stereotactic Therapy Brachytherapy Service Launceston provides Brachytherapy services for the entire state of Tasmania. Our modern Brachytherapy Suite was upgraded last year with new HDR equipment, providing exciting new opportunities. Research & Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Our clinical trials and research unit, based in Launceston, runs a range of Phase 2 & 3 trials. Position Details Position: Fixed term fulltime, working 76 hours per fortnight, with oncall duties. Fixedterm hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Start Date: As soon as possible. Remuneration $484,000 per annum illustrative package for a specialist with nine years of experience. Base salary: In accordance with the current Medical Practitioners Agreement2022. Specialist Medical Practitioner Level1 Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level3: $216,300$310,389 per annum. Salary range $300,216$310,389 contingent on meeting the Senior Specialist criteria as per the Agreement2022. Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,389 per annum. Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480 per annum. Private Patient Scheme: 35% of base salary. Oncall allowance (based on 1 in6):6.7% of base salary. Relocation package and accommodation allowance available. Qualifications Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in the speciality of radiation oncology. Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
