Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a whollyowned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia (LLA) focused on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of services focused on suicide prevention, mental health, domestic and family violence support, along with community wellbeing programs across both the geographical regions where we operate, as well as a range of digital services delivered nationally including Lifelines 13 11 14 Crisis Support helpline.In October2023 as part of an amalgamation between Lifeline and On The Line Australia, LLD took on the delivery of a range of services including MensLine, Suicide Call Back Service, SuicideLine Victoria (among others), to deliver on these services, LLD encompasses both a national remotebased telehealth workforce as well as Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Northern NSW, Eastern SuburbsBondi and New England/North West, (all in NSW), as well as Geelong, South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne (in Victoria).About the PositionThe Executive Director (ED) Finance provides operational and transactional leadership across finance, office facilities and procurement. The role reports to the LLD Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will have a dotted reporting line to LLAs Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work towards an integrated model, with shared systems and processes. This role will lead the financial and compliance reporting provided to the LLD Board and subcommittees, however the LLA CFO has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the LLD finance, procurement and facilities function.Hybrid working arrangements can be accommodated, with Lifelines Sydney office being the central office location.About YouYou are a seasoned and senior finance professional with experience in financial transformation. You have worked in the not-for-profit, public or private sectors, having accreditation with a relevant body including CAANZ or CPA or IPA, or equivalent tertiary qualification. You will provide effective financial leadership across LLD and work with the LLA finance team to deliver accurate consolidated financial reporting. You will provide effective leadership and support the mentoring of the Finance team and foster a commitment to continuous improvement.What the Position RequiresAccredited with a relevant body including CAANZ or CPA or IPA or equivalent tertiary qualificationsFinancial Management experience in the not-for-profit, public or private sectors organisations. Experience in managing cost accounting, payroll, financial analysis and budgeting, ideally with a working knowledge of grant agreements and acquittalsAbility to operate strategically, problem solve, support and understand challenges at the operational levelExperience in the integration and operation of financial management information systems and takes a continuous improvement approachDemonstrates interpersonal skills and leadership with experience in managing teams, leading, coaching and motivating staff, influencing others and resolving conflict. Holds to account using collaborative leadership approachHighly articulate and influential verbal and written communication abilities, including an ability to prepare executive level reports, interpret data with business insight and balancing attention to detailWorks independently with limited direction, demonstrates initiative, and deals with competing demands and meets deadlinesRole models the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour and demonstrates organisational leadership valuesDisplays empathy; maintains tact, discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
