Chief Executive Officer - Shire of Three Springs The Shire of Three Springs is seeking a community-focused leader with a strong background in local government. The position will oversee statutory responsibilities and deliver on strategic priorities. The position will work alongside a supportive Council and dedicated team. The Shire is situated 270km from Perth and 156km from Geraldton. Sport is strong in the community and Three Springs is well serviced with a primary school, doctor, hospital and a new Early Childhood Learning Centre. Three Springs is primarily a broad acre farming area, but there is also livestock production and it is home to the second largest talc mine in the southern hemisphere. Three Springs is set to play a pivotal role in the Midwest and Gascoynes next growth phase. With more than $5 billion in planned energy, mining, and infrastructure investments across the region, at least 17 major projects are proposed to affect our Shire directly. Three Springs is well-positioned to benefit from new economic opportunities. Projects such as renewable energy developments, workforce housing initiatives, and industrial land planning will boost local business and employment and cement our place as a strategic hub in Western Australias transition to clean energy and diversified industries. The position is offered under a performance based contract up to five years. An attractive remuneration package is offered and is to be set in accordance with the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal Band 4, access to a Regional/Isolation Allowance is a discretionary allowance and will be negotiated with the preferred applicant. Salary and benefits are subject to negotiation and could include, but not limited to: base salary, superannuation, professional development and utilities. In addition, private use of a motor vehicle and housing in a Shire owned executive residence is available. Reasonable relocation expenses will be negotiated.
