Lead Software Engineer - Product Design and Development KegLand Distribution Pty Ltd Noble Park North VIC We are seeking a Software Engineer to lead our Product Design and Development for our RAPT ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of building the digital infrastructure that powers both existing and future products. Your work will enable the RAPT ecosystem to scale vertically and horizontally, supporting a growing portfolio of products and services. Our ultimate goal is to deliver real-time logging, real-time access, and complete control for any fermentation process. Responsibilities leading the product development team to develop scalable digital infrastructure, enabling an expanded product and service range within the RAPT systems; work alongside other members of the product development team to assist new product development in a collaborative way and speed up the completion and deployment of new products in the range; identify system limitations and deficiencies for improvement; design, create and manage the firmware, including program code, for all products on the app.RAPT.io platform and digital RAPT ecosystem; diagnose and fix bugs while continually improving the platform to enhance stability and user-friendliness; assist front-end developers with improving and creating an internet-connected platform with high quality UI and UX; assist in designing and developing new circuit designs to enhance reliability; perform testing and record testing process for all products and services to ensure the software is working correctly and can be deployed to end-users without substantial issues; collect data, identify, analyse and resolve issues found during the testing process; assist other members of the product development team in any way that assists the team; create specification sheets, test procedures and instruction sheets for both users and manufacturers; continuously monitor and improve software design; provide management with recommendations on software and system upgrades as well as associated budget requirements; general duty to keep all product development spaces clean and maintain all equipment used in the design and development process; and any other duties as assigned by management from time to time. Qualifications In order to apply for this role, you must have, at minimum, the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered. relevant degree or at least five (5) years of experience in a similar role; minimum two (2) years of experience leading product development teams; excellent communication, problem solving, and rapport-building skills; proficiency in MERN full stack, AWS, Flutter, React Native and Git stack development; strong technical and creative capabilities; demonstrated understanding of the home brewing market and needs of end-users within this market; and demonstrated commitment to innovation.
