Innovation and agility are key to our success.About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Head of Information Technology/CTO to lead our technological operations and define our digital future. This is a critical leadership position, reporting directly to the Global Managing Director, and serving as the strategic partner to the Executive Team. The successful candidate will ensure the operational excellence and security of our current IT infrastructure while developing the long-term technology roadmap to drive innovation, competitive advantage, and business scalability. This is a global position, open to individuals based in Sydney, Australia or Los Angeles, USA.Objectives of the RoleDevelop and execute a technology strategy that supports and implements best-in-class, transformative practices and processes.Align technology with Entropicos strategic and business goals.Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new technologies and processes to create a competitive advantage, and improve Entropico for its people, projects and clients.Manage technology investment and risk.Oversee R&D and product development and ensure operational excellence.Strategic Leadership & Technology RoadmapDevelop, champion, and execute a multi-year technology roadmap that is tightly aligned with overall business strategy and growth objectives.Act as the primary technology advisor to the Executive Team and Board, translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications.Manage the technology budget to ensure optimal investment in systems, security, and talent.Operational Excellence & IT InfrastructureOversee all daily IT operations, including network, cloud environments, application support, and device management.Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all mission-critical systems and applications.Manage key vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement lifecycle for hardware and software.Information Security & ComplianceEstablish and enforce a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and policy framework to protect company data and assets.Lead the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Ensure the organisation gains and maintains compliance with all relevant industry regulations and security standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO, GDPR).Innovation & Digital TransformationEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation, advanced analytics) that can be leveraged for business efficiency and product differentiation.Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve core business processes and enhance the customer experience.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service excellence across the company as it relates to technology and IT.Define organisational structure and resourcing plans to meet current operational demands and future strategic needs.Experience & SkillsRequired:Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT management, technology or similar, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role for a creative agency, production company or creative company (e.g., Head of IT, IT Director).Demonstrated experience managing a diverse technology stack, including cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, etc), enterprise applications and network infrastructure.Proven ability to manage large operational budgets and complex vendor relationships.A strong background in defining and enforcing information security policies and frameworks.Strong background in event, broadcast or video technology.Experience/knowledge of designing, maintaining and optimising high-capacity storage solutions.Deep understanding of the Post-Production ecosystem, including offline, online, VFX, design and animation software and systems (with a particular focus on support for Adobe Creative Cloud environments).Desired:Demonstrated technical expertise in video production and large-scale media asset management, including familiarity with vendor platforms and infrastructure needs.Experience in a company undergoing rapid growth or significant digital transformation.Proven track record of developing and implementing a multi-year technology strategy.Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) or relevant industry certifications (PMP, ITIL, CISSP).Experience or deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture design.Experience implementing project management or MAM tools.At Entropico we -Thrive autonomously and in team scenarios.Work collaboratively with the other teams to ensure the output of work is always of the highest quality possible.Add value to all productions & processes & contribute to the business''s overall success.Most importantly, act within the best interests of Entropico.BenefitsBenefits (US): Health care - Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; Paid Sick Leave; 401K Matching Program - up to 6%; Unlimited PTO; Paid Parental Leave; Cell Phone and WFH stipends; Highly Subsidised Wellness Package with ClassPass; Co-funded Learning; Behavioural health and family support program via EAP; Wellness stipend.Benefits (AU): Highly subsidised Wellness package with ClassPass; Behavioural, health & family support program via EAP; Complimentary daily coffees from our local cafe; Complimentary groceries in the office & weekly lunches; Menstrual / Menopausal Leave; Competitive Paid Parental Leave program; Co-funded Learning. #J-18808-Ljbffr
