Role FTE 0.4, 2 days per week. Normal hours of duty: 8:30am - 4:36pm Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations. Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers. Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives. An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employees position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher. Responsibilities The position involves responsibility for the management of the efficient delivery of ICT network services across the school. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Network services management Manage the efficient and timely response to staff requests for assistance with ICT issues Manage user access and permissions to the school network and learning management system, ensuring that Active Directory groups and users are updated on a timely basis Manage the enhanced windows Teacher Notebook Program and eduMail user access including password reset and troubleshooting Manage the student 1 to 1 enhanced windows based device program Coordinate the work of TSSP technicians in conjunction with competing ICT demands within the school and across all of the schools networks Manage the rollouts of new ICT equipment and the end of lease requirements for leased equipment Daily monitoring of all systems to ensure that all services are operating efficiently Ensure that a check of all ICT equipment is carried out on a daily basis and that repairs are effected in a timely manner Manage the ordering of ICT consumables across the school Ensure that all warranty claims for equipment are made and that repairs of school owned ICT assets are carried out Ensure that all ICT equipment, reference materials and software are recorded in the assets register and accessioned to the library database Provision of ICT professional learning Develop and conduct training and professional learning programs for computer systems users Attend PL sessions as required and to explore ICT as an educational tool with particular reference to government policy on technology within the classroom and online learning Write reports, present submissions and make presentations on ICT matters relevant to the development of school programs and operations and to undertake special ICT projects as may be required.
