The opportunity As our new Senior Design Engineer, youll be at the heart of delivering high-quality civil infrastructure projects that make a real difference to the community. From designing roads, drainage systems, and shared paths, to ensuring compliance with industry standards, your work will combine technical precision with creativity. Youll collaborate with a range of stakeholders, tackle complex design challenges, and use tools like AutoCAD and 12d Model to bring projects to life. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problemsolving, values sustainability, and takes pride in creating safe, functional spaces that enhance everyday life. What Youll Be Doing Designing and delivering civil infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, car parks, and shared paths using industryleading tools like AutoCAD and 12d Model. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and Council policies while creating safe, sustainable, and costeffective designs. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external authorities to coordinate designs and achieve integrated project outcomes. Conducting site investigations including surveys, feasibility assessments, and inspections to inform accurate and practical design solutions. Preparing and reviewing detailed documentation including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates to support project delivery and procurement stages. What You''ll Need To Succeed Relevant 4year qualification in Civil Engineering and registration as a professional engineer under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019. Handson experience in civil design and documentation, including roads, drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects. Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and 12d Model, plus strong skills in preparing technical reports and drawings. Excellent problemsolving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Sound knowledge of standards and legislation, including Austroads, Australian Standards, and local government requirements.
