GENERAL MANAGER - MULTI PROPERTY MELBOURNE CBD Adelphi Hotel | Urban Apartments Melbourne on Elizabeth An exciting leadership opportunity is now available for a General Manager - Multi Property to oversee two distinctive properties in the heart of Melbourne''s CBD: Adelphi Hotel an iconic 34-room boutique hotel on Flinders Lane, renowned for bold design and unforgettable guest experiences Urban Apartments Melbourne on Elizabeth 20-room apartment-style accommodation Based at the Adelphi Hotel, this role is supported by 1834 Hotels, a leading Australian hospitality management group with a strong reputation for operational excellence and innovative service delivery. As General Manager - Multi Property, you''ll have the opportunity to manage a diverse and complementary portfolio that showcases both boutique luxury and contemporary apartment-style accommodation. You''ll be responsible for leading and inspiring motivated teams across both sites, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance while maintaining the distinct character and service standards of each property. The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and handson General Manager to drive performance across both properties. You will bring proven expertise in accommodation management, revenue generation, financial performance, owner relations, and guest service. You will be responsible for: Overseeing daily operations across both properties, ensuring service and presentation excellence Leading, developing and mentoring multisite teams to deliver consistent guest satisfaction Managing financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, P&L accountability, and cost controls Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with apartment owners and body corporate representatives, including clear and regular communication Acting as the primary liaison for stratatitled property stakeholders, ensuring transparency, trust and alignment of interests Driving sales, local engagement, and market growth in Melbourne''s competitive CBD environment Ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety and company policies What You''ll Need to Succeed To excel in this role, you will demonstrate: Extensive experience in senior hotel leadership roles, ideally across multisite or stratatitled properties Strong financial acumen with a proven track record in revenue management, budgeting, and cost control Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with apartment owners and corporate partners Strong leadership ability to inspire, guide and manage teams across multiple sites Knowledge of hotel systems including PMS (RMS Cloud preferred), Channel Management, and accounting software A proactive, detailoriented approach to operations and guest experience delivery A clear commitment to compliance, safety, and operational standards Why Join Us?
