Job Description

We are an established and growing global company with operations in Australia, NZ, USA, Thailand and Spain. Reporting the Ausperl Group CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the executive team, driving business performance, supporting investment decisions, and maintaining the financial health and integrity of the Group. The CFO will provide strategic and operational financial leadership for the Ausperl Group. The role ensures robust financial governance, effective risk management, accurate financial reporting, and optimal capital management to support growth in domestic and export markets. This role encompasses full financial responsibility across multiple entities and jurisdictions, working closely with the CEO and business General Managers ensuring consistent governance, reporting, and compliance for the Ausperl Groups operations in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Spain, and the USA. Who are we? AUSPERL is a privately owned Australian based mineral processing business with a 24/7 processing facility in Padstow, NSW and 3PL distribution from central locations nationwide. We have offices and processing facilities in Australia, NZ, Spain, Thailand, and the US. Our team produces various perlite products for filtration, insulation, and construction applications as well as exfoliating vermiculite, and trading a range of chemicals and minerals. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Strategic & Commercial Leadership Partner with the CEO and Board to shape and execute the Groups strategic plan, providing financial insight into business decisions. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Financial Management & Governance Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain strong internal controls. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Manage cashflow, debt, and liquidity to support growth. Risk, Compliance & Corporate Governance Manage financial and operational risk, ensuring obligations are met. Team Leadership & Culture Develop a high-performing finance team and build financial acumen across operations. IT, Systems & Process Improvement Responsible for IT, oversee ERP, reporting tools, and drive efficiency initiatives. Our ideal candidate has the following attributes: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 10+ years senior finance experience, ideally in manufacturing, resources, or project-based environments Proven experience managing multi-site operations Commercial acumen with demonstrated success in business growth or turnaround Proven strategic thinker with strong communication skills Strong leadership skills An enthusiastic go-getter, who is goal driven that will take ownership of projects. Results focused with a strong bias for action. Someone who will thrive in a busy environment and is comfortable with managing multiple priorities. A good sense of humour.
