OverviewThe Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section''s Line Pilots are at the forefront of our aeromedical operations. Our Line Pilots work as part of a multi-disciplined team facilitating access to vital health care services, enabling people to live and work in regional, rural and remote Australia. No two days are the same for a Line Pilot, with a typical day consisting of challenges, highlights and inspirations across a variety of operational duties. You will be able to work in small teams, be agile in your approach, dedicated to the job and focused on the task at hand.To fly with us as a Line Pilot you will have the essential requirements of:Australian CPL with ATPL subjectsMulti engine command instrument ratingClass 1 MedicalTotal time - 2500 HoursTotal time in command - 2000 HoursTotal time in command - multi engine 500 hoursNight experience - 100 HoursAustralian citizenship, residency or an approved work visaIn addition, it is desirable for our Line Pilots to possess:Remote area flying experiencePreferred 4 instrument proficiency checksTurbine experience is preferred but not requiredPast experience in working shifts over a 24-hour periodAbout The Royal Flying Doctor ServiceThe Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world.
