General Manager - Farming Operations - Brisbane QLD Join a forward-thinking agricultural investment and farm management firm focused on producing premium grains for food and bioenergy feedstock. Focus: Highvalue irrigated and dryland farming enterprises, natural asset development, and regenerative farming practices. Portfolio: Two large cropping aggregations (approx. 5,000ha) across the Maranoa and Central QLD regions. Future growth is planned. The Opportunity: General Managerthis is a strategic yet handson leadership role reporting directly to the Chief of Operations. You will have full responsibility for the overall performance of the business and farm operations, putting your mark on the portfolio''s growth trajectory. Brisbane based ideally but with regular travel to properties. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the farm aggregations, onsite teams, and contractors, driving a robust Workplace Health and Safety culture. Oversee all operations, driving productivity, profitability, and the implementation of advanced regenerative farming practices and sustainability policies. Set and manage operational budgets and forecasts. Oversee all capital expenditure programmes, including investments in natural capital assets. Ensure rigorous financial management, reporting, statutory compliance, and continuous process improvement. Be a role model for the core values of integrity, teamwork, and community commitment. (Comprehensive specialist Head Office support is provided for finance, compliance, and strategy.) About You We are looking for an exceptional leadereither an experienced GM or a seasoned senior largescale farm manager ready to step upwho is a proactive selfstarter with a strong team focus. Essential Capabilities Proven, significant experience in managing largescale commercial agricultural operations. Strong knowledge of agricultural production, business processes, and modern sustainability practices/regenerative agriculture. Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and stakeholders. A strong appreciation for and understanding of natural capital assets. Highly motivated with the ability to work towards strict deadlines. Desirable Experience working within a corporate environment. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture or Business Management.
