Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to manage our onsite childcare centre, catering to children from birth to school age. This is a unique opportunity to shape a highquality, inclusive learning environment within a healthcare setting. Youll oversee daily operations, educational programming, and compliance with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, while fostering strong relationships with families, staff, and government stakeholders. In this leadership role, youll be responsible for policy development, staff management, budgeting, and ensuring the centre meets all Commonwealth and State regulatory requirements. What You''ll be Doing: The early Childhood Teacher/Director is responsible for managing the overall operation of the centre for children aged birth to school age with the aim of delivering affordable high quality child care. The position establishes the philosophy, policies and procedures for the centre that meet the requirements of the Early Years Learning Framework. The position promotes the centre as an integral part of the Liverpool Hospital environment, building internal support networks and ensuring the daytoday operation of the centre in compliance with Commonwealth and State government regulatory requirements. Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from a Recognised University or Recognised Teacher Training Institution and a minimum of 2 years experience in early childhood, and experience as a Director of a Centre. Current Accreditation as a Teacher with NSW Education Standards Authority NESA; First Aid qualification 0010 that is approved by ACECQA including CPR, Emergency Asthma management, anaphylaxis and diabetes; Child Protection training CCHC001. Demonstrated skills and experience in the effective management of Human Resources, financial management, recruitment, staff performance, compliance management, rostering and adherence to Work Health and Safety. Demonstrated skills in planning, implementing, evaluating and quality to ensure an inclusive educational program in accordance with the approved learning framework and meeting individual group needs of children, including the use of technology to support operations and programme delivery. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance with both State and Federal laws, as well as quality standards relevant to childrens services. This includes knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Quality Improvement Plan, mandatory reporting for Child Protection legislation and the registration and verification of educators and Child Safe Standards.
