Full-Time | Hands-On Leadership Role | Growing Australian Manufacturer Farm Tech Machinery is looking for a skilled and motivated Assembly Leading Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our Import Assembly Team. Our team proudly produces the high-quality AusMix Feed Mixer and supports a broad range of agricultural machinery. The Role Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, the Assembly Leading Hand plays a hands-on role in supporting workflow, guiding daily tasks, mentoring a team including apprentices and helping maintain high standards of quality and efficiency across the import assembly area. Key Responsibilities Assist the Assembly Team Leader in coordinating daily assembly tasks and drive workflow. Support and direct team members on the floor, providing coaching and direction. Ensure mechanical assembly of whole goods to completed to a high standard. Ensure quality workmanship and minimise rework through correct processes and checks. Work closely with the Production Coordinator to ensure parts, kitting, and jobs are ready for assembly. Troubleshoot assembly issues and escalat[e] where needed. Promote a clean, safe, and positive working environment. Lead by example with strong work ethic, teamwork, and attention to detail. What We''re Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and handson assembly experience. Ability to lead, support, and mentor a team on the floor. Experience in manufacturing or production environment. Organised, reliable, and able to follow structured systems and processes. Good communication skills and a proactive, solutionfocused approach.
