About the Role The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling aircraft maintenance requests, preparing and standardising quotes, verifying parts and costing accuracy, and ensuring strong communication between internal teams and customers. This position is essential to improving workflow efficiency, maintenance accuracy, customer satisfaction, and risk reduction across our MRO operations. You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance Managers, Stores, and Customer Support to ensure maintenance activities are planned, resourced, and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Scheduling & Coordination Coordinate and schedule aircraft maintenance work orders. Monitor upcoming work, aircraft movements, and resource requirements. Liaise with maintenance, engineering, tooling and stores teams to confirm availability. Maintain accurate schedules in ERP/MRO systems (e.g. Quantum). Quoting & Cost Control Prepare and review maintenance quotations and estimates. Maintain standardised quoting templates and pricing structures. Verify part numbers, costs, and lead times before quote release. Analyze variances between quoted and actual costs to drive improvements. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, quotes, and approvals. Prepare dashboards and performance summaries for scheduling and turnaround. Support internal audits and continuous improvement processes. Customer Service & Communication Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding maintenance status and quotes. Provide timely, professional updates throughout the maintenance cycle. Work collaboratively to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively. Process Improvement Identify and implement improvements in scheduling and quoting processes. Support Lean, quality, and standardisation initiatives across all MRO sites. Contribute to risk reduction by improving accuracy, communication, and workflow practices. About You (Skills & Attributes) Required Experience in aircraft maintenance planning, scheduling, or quoting within an aviation MRO environment. Strong understanding of maintenance processes, documentation, and compliance. Proficiency in ERP/MRO systems (e.g. Quantum). High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Customerfocused, proactive, and solutionsdriven. Preferred Trade Engineer, technical, or tertiary qualification in aviation maintenance. Experience in helicopter maintenance or component overhaul facilities. Familiarity with Bell helicopter products and maintenance systems. Knowledge of CASA Part 145 requirements.
