Mildura Magistrates'' Court Networker Expression of Interest for 2025 Training Commencement We are seeking volunteers to provide welcoming, kind, and supportive human connections to all court users (witnesses, victims, accused, and family and friends). The role involves engaging with court users facetoface or virtually, supporting them to navigate and fully participate in their court experience, recognising and responding to individual needs and concerns, providing support, information and referral options, promoting safety, and working independently as well as within a team. Responsibilities Provide a welcoming, kind, and supportive human connection to all court users. Actively engage with court users, either face to face or virtually, supporting and assisting them to navigate and fully participate in their court experience. Recognise and respond to individual service user needs and concerns. Provide service users with support, information and referral options and choices. Promote service user safety. Work independently as well as within a team. Follow instructions and practice guidelines. Have good digital literacy and confidence; record keeping, emailing, communication and information sharing. Adhere to privacy policy requirements. Qualifications Volunteers must have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, confidence using technology (CRM, digital communication - email, internet searching on laptop or tablet, smartphone apps) and the ability to foster inclusivity and a personcentred approach to supporting all court users, impartially and nonjudgementally. This multifaceted and interesting role is best suited to someone who is proactive, a peopleperson, passionate about improving access to justice and wants to volunteer on an ongoing and regular basis. Category Community Services Commitment Regular more than 6 months Time Required 9am5pm MondayFriday, one day per week (preferably weekly or fortnightly) Training A comprehensive 12week program is provided to all trainee Networkers (Volunteers).
