Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group specialises in creating and growing superior and innovative hospitality and restaurant concepts.We have an exciting opportunity now available, for an enthusiastic and capable individual to join our professional and friendly Culinary & Beverage department as a Manufacturing Production Manager.The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and coordinating all production manufacturing activities to ensure high-quality product sauces are made on time and within budget, while maintaining safety standards. Duties include managing staff, monitoring production processes, maintaining equipment, controlling costs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations like GMP, and keeping records.Duties include:Production Planning: Develops and monitors production schedules, strategies and plans, ensuring timely output and efficient use of resources, including labour and raw materials.Quality Control: Ensures products meet specific quality standards, implementing quality procedures and food safety compliance, such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), especially in a food manufacturing factory setting.Staff Management: Leads and manages a team of production staff, directing activities and monitoring their performance.Budget and Cost Control: Tracks production budgets, labour costs, and output, making adjustments to minimise expenses while maintaining product quality.Equipment Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of production plant equipment and acquisition to ensure smooth operation and prevent disruptions.Health and Safety: Implements and coordinates occupational health and safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.Reporting: Prepares and maintains accurate production records and reports, keeping other managers informed about production matters.Process Improvement: Recommends and implements initiatives to improve production methods and efficiency.SPECIALISED OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSRelevant bachelor degree qualification and/or Minimum 1 to 5 years of relevant experience1+ year of proven manufacturing production management experience in a fast paced, high volume environmentDemonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop othersAble to contribute to development and implementation of strategy, structure, policy, procedure and systemsAble to contribute to development and implementation of food management, cost analysis, standards, systems, food safety and complianceA sound understanding of occupational health and safety standards within the hospitality industryStrong communication, interpersonal, influencing, collaborative and decision-making skills essentialThis position is full time and would be an ideal opportunity for any person who is passionate about manufacturing and the hospitality Industry.
