Based in Edinburgh, Mayfield is seeking a full-time MV Product Portfolio Manager to plan and control the development, delivery, and compliance of our Medium Voltage Product Portfolio with client specifications and drawings, while optimising design and tendering tools. What youll be doing With guidance from the National Business Development Manager and/or others, ensure strategies are in place to successfully market and manufacture the range thereby ensuring that Mayfield have resources (manpower, equipment and suppliers) in place to meet the companys requirements for the delivery of projects. Prepare and coordinate contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms align with project requirements, company policies, and legal standards. Determine appropriate suppliers based on capability, capacity, compliance, and commercial viability, in collaboration with Procurement and Project Delivery teams. Assist in the negotiation of supply agreements, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality expectations, and warranty terms. Review supplier drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and design intent. Support the Project Delivery team in monitoring supplier performance and ensuring delivery obligations are met in accordance with contract terms and project schedules. Define product roadmap through Market Analysis, growth opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitive threats. Build strong customer relationships by understanding their goals and ensuring timely, successful project delivery. Provide presentations, bid support, and solutions, while maintaining regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on track and proactively address issues. Assist in developing process and procedures for product specific testing, installation, and maintenance activities. Ensure supplier relationships are maintained through good management, good communication and ethical behaviour throughout the Design, Production and Operations. Alternatively, a minimum of several years experience in hands on commissioning/switching in a manufacturing/ end user or similar business. A deep understanding of MV switchgear types (AIS, GIS, RMU), ratings, protection schemes, and applications. A strong understanding of Australian and European standards related to MV primary and secondary switchgear, Oil and Dry Type transformers and Kiosk substations. Thorough knowledge in MV switchboard fabrication and mechanical construction. Ability to read SLD, Schematics and understand CT & VT requirements. Tertiary studies in Electrical Engineering is desirable.
