About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll professional to work within our National / Group Payroll Team in Cleveland. You will have a sense of urgency, be a natural people person, with a customer focus and the ability to see the bigger picture, set objectives, and deliver results. Lead by example, mentor and develop the team and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Preparation of payroll data for weekly pay run with review of time and attendance system and Human Resources Management System on transfer of data to the payroll system Ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll data with review of audit trails/ reports, analysis and rectification of discrepancies Maintain compliance, regulatory and industry standards through the Payroll process in conjunction with the People team and can interpret and apply provisions of relevant legislation, awards and company policies Assist with Payroll technical requirements including integration checks, data validations and corrections to support accurate pay runs Develop reporting and analysis to support the wider business requirements Assist with the delivery of system enhancements and updates (which may include gathering current state requirements, testing and documentation) Continuously work with the wider team to enhance system functionality to optimise efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations and recommend process improvements and policy updates Handling enquiries from internal stakeholders and from external government bodies such as Child Support or Centrelink, financial institutions etc About You Experience in a Payroll Specialist role or working in a high performing payroll function (inhouse corporate experience preferred), combined with strong analytical skills Strong technical skills with proficiency in Frontier iChris / Chris21 Payroll and advanced Excel skills Technical skills with other payroll related systems advantageous, especially UKG/KRONOS Dimensions and UKG/Kronos HCM Solid understanding of payroll operations, systems and processes Proven ability to interpret and apply provisions of relevant legislation, awards and company policies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong stakeholder management skills Adaptability and ability to thrive in a busy environment, having had success previously in a role requiring quick thinking and agility Ability to work with confidential information discreetly Experience with a variety of Awards & EBA''s Benefits Essential services industry job stability Fulltime, permanent role Competitive salary + Super | Onsite parking Head office location - Cleveland Career development and growth opportunities Introductory and ongoing training Corporate Health and Fitness Program - Fitness Passport Salary sacrificing and novated leasing (including toolsofthetrade) Banking partnerships including financial, budgeting and mortgage advice Discounts at over 100 retailers (including groceries and fuel) Car servicing, parts and accessories discounts plus new car discounts The stability of a national, Australian family owned and operated business with over 90 years experience Next Steps Interested applicants should APPLY NOW.
