The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the shortstay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person''s needs. This role is dedicated to advocating for the unique needs of all patients, clients, and carers, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds as they undergo specialised procedures. It requires the highest professional standards, demonstrated through ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD, and compliance with relevant legislation and statutory regulations. Central to the position is the ability to provide guidance, clinical preceptorship, and mentoring to staff and students, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
